Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NCLEX AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the NCLEX AI mobile app and website (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information you provide when you sign up: email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and the display name you choose.
• Profile details you optionally add: name, nursing school, exam track (RN/PN), target exam date, and a profile photo.
• Study activity generated as you use the app: questions answered, scores, quiz/exam/game results, flashcard and study-guide progress, streaks, XP, and your readiness score. This is what powers your personalized experience.
• Device & diagnostic data: basic, non-identifying information used for reliability, crash diagnostics, and improving the app.

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account.
• To personalize your study plan and calculate your readiness score.
• To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
• To send account and study communications you opt into (such as the weekly progress report), which you can turn off any time.

AI features

Some features use artificial-intelligence services to generate answer explanations and study guidance. Only the study content needed to produce a response is processed; we do not send your name, email, or other directly identifying account details to these services.

Service providers

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share data only with vendors that help us run the Service, under appropriate safeguards:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication, and file storage.
• Expo / EAS — app build and delivery infrastructure.
• Resend — sending account and report emails.
• Apple App Store & Google Play — app distribution and, where applicable, subscription billing. We never receive your full payment-card details.

Data security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and protected by row-level security so each account can only access its own data. We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by emailing support@nclexai.ai from your account email address. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Children’s privacy

NCLEX AI is intended for nursing students and other adults preparing for the NCLEX. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

You can access or update your profile in the app, opt out of optional emails in Profile → Notifications, and request access or deletion of your data by emailing support@nclexai.ai.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
